Now is the time to CHANGE THE SETTINGS on your LAWN SPRINKLER CONTROLLER.

With temperatures hitting the 90s plants and grass are starting to show signs of stress.

Now is the ideal moment to change the settings on your lawn sprinkler controller to improve irrigation efficiency. Traditional irrigation practices, such as furrow irrigation, can be resource-intensive and less efficient when compared to modern methods that utilize soil moisture sensors. These sensors enable your sprinkler system to gauge the actual moisture level of the soil, helping you to avoid over-watering and reduce water waste. Optimizing your sprinkler settings allows you to transform your supplemental irrigation routines into a model of irrigation efficiency. This not only conserves precious water resources but also leads to healthier, more resilient plants. Don’t let another day pass without maximizing the efficiency of your lawn care system.

Here are a few tips on setting your controller:

  • Set the controller to run three days a week. For example: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
  • The best time to run your sprinkler system is early in the morning. The best water pressure time is around 4 AM when water use is low.
  • Set the spray heads to run at least 6 minutes and rotors for 25 minutes
  • Watch your system to make sure it runs.
  • Make sure all of the spray heads are working properly.
  • If the water does not soak into the ground, cut back the run times.
